The very latest in the revolutionary X series of sport yachts from Australia’s leading luxury motoryacht manufacturer, Maritimo, the X50, has seen the success of the range continued with total sales since its launch in May now in the double figures.

The X50’s success follows on from the record-breaking response to the X60 sport yacht launched in May 2018 and now there have been circa 25 orders worldwide.

Maritimo’s lead designer, Tom Barry-Cotter, said the response to the X series range was a vote of confidence in Maritimo’s leading edge design and the innovation built into each of the vessels.

The X50, with its unique aft cabin accommodation options, will follow its Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show launch in May with exhibitions throughout Australia, New Zealand and North America in the remainder of 2019.

“This builds on the phenomenal response to the X60 which drew international acclaim in 2018 as one of the most exciting advances in the sport yacht sector thanks to the model’s innovative design features,” he said

“Both these models have been embraced by boaties throughout the world with sales made in a multitude of countries.”

The new X50 features a customizable aft accommodation space that increases the size of living spaces in the forward accommodation and neutrally balances the hull for enhanced performance, fuel economy and ride comfort.

Accessible from both saloon and swim platform deck, the aft accommodation space features a standard beach club cabin with ensuite.

The area has been perfected for use as an entertainment and watersports hub, with the added ability to convert to guest stateroom via a standard folding double bed integrated into the rear bar.

Versatility designed into the X50’s aft accommodation space also enables this area to be optioned and utilised as a twin single stateroom with ensuite or 3.2 metre tender garage.

Advantages achieved through the X50’s innovative accommodation design are not limited to just unique versatile spaces, but also integrate critical balance and performance characteristics via the neutral positioning of engines and mass whilst optimizing drive shaft angle

“As world leaders in shaft driven performance, the X50 is designed and constructed to meet expectations of delivering class leading fuel economy, range, high speed cruise and ocean going comfort that we are recognised for,” said Barry-Cotter.

The X50 design team has gone further than ever in the analysis of water flow over the hull. All underwater components have been analysed and designed with an obsessive consideration of drag reduction, creating as efficient a hull as possible.

In addition to the X-Series’ aft accommodation features and options, the new X50 includes two expansive staterooms and ensuites in the forward accommodation spaces.

The full beam master stateroom with queen bed (king optional), desk, day bed, drawer unit, full height hanging locker and panoramic hull windows, is enhanced in size due to the space acquired with the guest accommodations relocating aft when compared with traditional arrangements.

The forward stateroom design features an innovative offset queen bed with connecting ensuite. The offset bed design maximises available floor space, enabling easier access around and into bed.

Integrated hull side windows inject panoramic vistas into each cabin and there are through hull port lights for further ventilation.

The saloon design incorporates optional sliding vista windows that flank each side of the hard top letting in an abundance of light and air. An optional galley positioned sunroof provides even more light and ventilation.

The automotive inspired dashboard and helm is ergonomically designed for both comfort and control. Maritimo Racing function and equipment interface experience is inbuilt at every level.

Barry-Cotter said the signature large Maritimo family galley design was incorporated into the rear of the saloon, with upright fridge freezer, dish washer, cooktop, convection microwave, full height pull-out pantry, island bench, and various cupboards and drawers.

The vast cockpit space features heavy weather bi-fold cockpit-saloon doors, rear euro seating, and starboard side entertainment unit. Protective walk around decks connect the cockpit with the forward deck entertainment area, featuring sun lounge bed and lift up backrests.

The X50 is priced at AUD$1,490,500 including standard beach club aft accommodation.
