Launched in February 2024 to the sounds of a champagne cork and a splash, followed by moving speeches from her excited Wellington-based owners, Amamus was a picture of elegance as the latest Elite AT43 sliced through the water on launch day.

Amanus has several personalised touches to suit her future Marlborough Sounds home, including a large Maltese cross and fairleads on the bow to guide large mooring ropes, six solar panels, and a larger full height fridge for long extended trips away.

The owners opted for the single Cummins 600 QSC which gives a cruise speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 27 knots, automatic Zip Wake trim tabs, and beautiful custom designed interior finishes.

Amamus has the usual Elite AT43 three-cabin layout: Island berth master, a large double (convertible to two singles) and a bunk room. There is a separate bathroom and shower and the galley is positioned next to the cockpit with a large electric window creating seamless indoor–outdoor flow.

The whole team at Allan Tongs Boatbuilders is proud of their latest AT43. In the words of its new owners, “It’s awesome, we are still pinching ourselves”.

The next available build slot is February 2025, launching September 2025. Contact Nigel, 0211741574.
