Fifty Years Under Sail: H28 Yacht Owners’ Association of New Zealand 1974-2024

The H28 Yacht Owners’ Association of New Zealand is proud to announce the publication of a special commemorative book celebrating 50 years of yachting, both local and offshore.

Edited by Quentin Allan and Evelyn Gauntlett, endorsed by Mark Orams, and with a foreword by Penny Whiting, this book honours the enduring legacy of Herreshoff’s iconic H28, a yacht that has not only graced New Zealand’s seascape with its elegant design but has also forged a tight-knit community of sailing enthusiasts.

In coffee-table format, at 230 pages, this book is packed with fabulous colour photos and engaging accounts of H28 yachting adventures including racing,  fortnightly rallies around the Hauraki Gulf, voyages around the Pacific and beyond, not to mention at least one circumnavigation.
