Well before Race 6 begins, Emirates Team New Zealand announces their withdrawal. The New Zealand team cited low wind which has caused delays to today’s schedule. Race 6 would have run well towards the end of the day. To receive the win, Alinghi will need to cross the start line which will give the Swiss their only win for the day. Race 6 is a pointless race. (Any race involving New Zealand (the Defender) in the round robins does not offer points.)
