It’s day 2 of the Vendée Global: Round The World Race – and Conrad Colman, the lone kiwi captian in the fleet of 40 boats, a mix of Intercontinental Foilers and Keelers, is racing away from land, but reports this evening some lights on the horizon! He has filmed them, and we are pleased to share! Today he gives some thoughts on the trip so far.
He has reported that the first night went surprisingly well. “I have good speed under spinnaker and was able to claw back and then overtake Violette who has a faster boat. However, some other daggerboard boats were yet faster. So I will have to push hard to stay in touch.” Colman notes. “Life on order is good. I got some short naps in and I’m starting to get into the rhythm of sea.”
