On December 10, 2024, Sea-Doo held a media day for New Zealand journalists
to introduce the 2025 Fish Pro range. Boating NZ’s Tim Porter enjoyed a day on
the water trying them out with Sea-Doo ambassador Andrew Hill.
The Sea-Doo FishPro Range
Sea-Doo is a pioneer in PWC fishing with an extensive range that caters to the most avid fishing enthusiast as well as to the occasional angler.
Originally designed in conjunction with homegrown talent Andrew Hill, these units are truly purpose-built for fishing. The Sea-Doo FishPro range consists of the new Sea-Doo FishPro Apex, Trophy, Sport and Scout.
Sea-Doo FishPro Trophy
The FishPro Trophy’s ingeniously designed features include its Modular Swivel Seat, the rear portion of the seat transforms into a pedestal seat ideal for sight fishing. Installation is a matter of seconds for a game-changing experience. The Rotax 1630 ACE– 170 is the most powerful naturally-aspirated Rotax engine ever on
a Sea-Doo watercraft – plenty of top-end speed to get on the fish fast and efficiently with all-day fun and excitement always on tap.
Sea-Doo FishPro Sport
The original FishPro, the FishPro Sport, delivers a new take on fishing. A personal watercraft designed with fishing at its soul, you can move about to fish from sitting or standing positions, and its fishing bench seat is designed for comfort while driving or fishing. Along with five fishing rod holders, rods can be placed in a variety of locations around the craft for convenient storage and improved trolling capabilities. Keep them within reach or out of the way as your adventure dictates.
NEW for 2025: Sea-Doo FishPro Apex
The latest addition to Sea-Doo’s range is the FishPro APEX. With its exclusive design, unique colouration and limited one year production run the FishPro Apex represents the pinnacle of Sea-Doo’s lineup of fishing PWCs. Equipped with all the features that made the FishPro Trophy one of the best fishing PWCs on the water, the FishPro Apex raises the bar further with innovative new features.
Robust for all conditions
The FishPro Apex is powered by a 300hp Rotax 1630 ACE engine, allowing anglers to get there in a hurry. A tall touring windshield, hydraulic steering damper and adjustable handlebar riser help
riders find the ideal riding position for comfort while they blast along to the next spot.
Built to catch
The Sea-Doo FishPro Apex is equipped with a 9-inch Garmin fish finder GPS for a picture-window view below the surface, chart plotting, ride tracking and more compatible apps to help find the fish. A modular swivel seat makes fishing easier and the LinQ cooler with integrated livewell and washdown keeps the fish or bait alive and rinses the PWC clean. In addition, an intelligent debris-free (iDF) pump system allows riders to get as close to the action as possible. Clear a clogged intake with just the push of a button. The FishPro Apex comes standard with seven rod holders capable of standing up to rough conditions and high speeds. A rear deck extension adds stability and 4 LinQ attachment points allow riders to carry more tackle, equipment, or fuel for the day’s adventures.
Sea-Doo FishPro Scout
The FishPro Scout comes with a cooler, fish finder, rod holders and trolling modes, but instantly transforms for full family fun. Equipped with nine pre-set trolling modes, you can find your perfect trolling speed, set it and focus on fishing. Select between nine low speed settings for the perfect bait presentation, all without needing to touch the throttle, leaving your hands free to fish.
Sea-Doo GTX 230
The GTX 230 is a unique PWC that delivers comfort and convenience with a choice between two proven Rotax engines – the 1630 ACE with 170hp or 230hp, both offering reliability, fun performance and fuel economy.
