XO Boats is renowned for its focus on durability and functionality, often drawing inspiration from professional maritime vessels. The EXPLR 44 is no exception, built with the same aluminium construction techniques found in high-end superyachts. The design philosophy prioritises performance, safety, and luxury, targeting individuals looking for a reliable platform to explore remote regions, from icy Scandinavian waters to sun-drenched Pacific shores.

Design and construction

The EXPLR 44 benefits from a deep-V hull and an all-aluminium superstructure, ensuring strength and rigidity. The hull features 8mm stringers at the bottom and a 5mm aluminium plating, minimising vibrations and absorbing shocks from rough seas. This construction delivers not only excellent seaworthiness but also long-term durability, with aluminium providing resistance to corrosion and ease of repair.
