The start
The race began with Spain and New Zealand launching off the start line in strong positions. Switzerland also made a promising start, while the Emirates GBR had an unfortunate incident. Coming out of the first gate, the British team suffered a dramatic loss of stability, accidentally bringing both front foils out of the water and falling off their foils entirely.
