Founded in 1919, Skilsø Boats has built a legacy of quality in the heart of southern Norway building boats to operate along rugged coastlines where seaworthiness isn’t optional—it’s essential. Today, their designs continue that heritage with hulls shaped by generations of experience, delivering superior stability, efficiency, and quiet running in demanding conditions.

Charlie Bravo’s Director Cam Burch believes the Skilsø range are an ideal proposition for NZ’s discerning boat buyers:

“To fully explore and enjoy NZ’s dynamic coastline you need a boat that can shift seamlessly between the ‘4 seasons in a day’ we’re renowned for.  Skilsø boats are proven in extreme, tough Nordic latitudes and are well suited for year-round boating here with versatile, protected cockpits, excellent seakeeping characteristics and intelligent cabin layouts and interiors.  Couple that with impressive build standards and that minimalist Scandinavian style and I believe these boats suit the NZ market very well.”

“Cost of ownership is increasingly prevalent in any buyer’s psyche and we’re seeing a noticeable shift toward simple, low maintenance drivetrains as buyers move away from stern leg or pod drive propulsion.  Skilsø run simple shaft drives coupled with Yanmar engines and they also think deeply about ease of access when it comes to servicing and maintenance in the engine bay”

“The current range is made up of 10.6 and 12 metre models available in sedan or flybridge configurations – we think Skilsø are a great match for the kiwi boat owner and look forward to bringing them to the NZ market.”
