The Ocean Race Europe 2025 fleet reached Nice this morning after a fierce three-day leg from Cartagena that delivered everything from sticky calms to ferocious storms.
First Place
Paul Meilhat’s Biotherm once again showed consistency and composure, crossing the line at 05:12:14 UTC after 2 days, 16 hours, 12 minutes, and 14 seconds at sea. The French team’s victory continues their flawless run in this year’s event, adding another maximum points haul to their overall lead.
Close Second
Holcim-PRB, skippered by Rosalin Kuiper, finished second after another intense duel with Biotherm along Mallorca’s north coast. The Swiss-flagged IMOCA crossed just over two hours later, cementing their reputation as the strongest challenger in the fleet.
Third Place
Italy’s Allagrande Mapei Racing, led by Ambrogio Beccaria, claimed a popular third place to complete the podium — a result celebrated by the home crowd on the Mediterranean shores.
Fourth Place
Paprec Arkéa followed in fourth after 2 days, 18 hours, 21 minutes of racing, while Boris Herrmann’s Team Malizia crossed soon after in fifth, clocking 2 days, 18 hours, 42 minutes.
The leg tested every crew with punishing heat, multiple headsail changes, and a violent 70-knot storm before the final push to France. With Biotherm holding firm at the top of the leaderboard, the pressure now builds on the chasing pack as the event heads towards its climax.
