Brabus Shadow 1500 Cross Top: a new chapter in high-performance luxury

The world premiere of the Brabus Shadow 1500 Cross Top turns heads at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival.

A bold debut in Cannes

When Brabus Marine unveils a new model, expectations are always sky-high. At this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the German luxury-performance powerhouse delivered with the Shadow 1500 Cross Top Stealth Green Signature Edition. At 45 feet (13-metres), this latest model redefines what a high-performance dayboat can be, blending raw power, precision engineering, and a luxury finish unmistakably Brabus.

See the triple Mercury Racing V8s roar into life and you’ll know why this is called a statement boat. With 1,500hp on tap and a top speed of 62 knots, the Shadow 1500 is engineered to thrill.

Power and performance

At the core of the Shadow 1500 are triple Mercury Racing 500R 4.6L V8 supercharged outboards. Together they produce 1,115kW, ensuring adrenaline-charged acceleration and handling that makes every ride an event. Cruising at 40 knots comes effortlessly, yet the boat is built for more than just raw speed. Its twin-stepped, 20-degree V-hull sharpens handling and stability offshore, while a 1,390-litre fuel capacity supports longer adventures.

Designed to stand out

Brabus has long made individuality a hallmark, and the Shadow 1500 is no exception. The Stealth Green Signature paintwork, diamond-quilted upholstery, and carbon fibre detailing combine automotive cues with marine practicality. Inside, the Masterpiece interior offers options in dual-tone leather or a clean mono scheme, accented by red accents and bespoke badging.

The helm is pure driver’s delight: dual Simrad NSO 16-inch multifunction displays, a BRABUS steering module integrating audio, trim, and thruster controls, and a cockpit deliberately free from joystick piloting—though buyers can add it if desired.

Luxury beyond speed

While performance headlines the spec sheet, onboard comfort is equally impressive. The Cross Top name reflects the versatility: open-air freedom when you want it, enclosed protection when weather dictates. The cockpit features dual electric sunroofs, while the lounge and optional aft cabin offer space for up to four overnight.

Entertaining comes naturally with a central wet bar, an optional stern bar integrated into the fender box, and flexible deck layouts ranging from U-sofa to extended cabins. Add in JL Audio’s premium sound, ambient RGB lighting, and gullwing lounge doors, and the Shadow 1500 feels more luxury lounge than hardcore performance boat—though it is undeniably both.

Technology for the modern skipper

Navigation and control systems are cutting-edge. Owners can opt for the Extended Brabus Navigation Package, which adds radar, AIS, onboard Wi-Fi, night vision, and additional helm and lounge displays. Intelligent systems keep the driver connected directly to the water, making the Shadow 1500 as intuitive as it is powerful.
