The Outdoor Expo was born from a simple idea: New Zealanders are at their best when they’re outside. Its founder wanted more than another trade show. The goal was to create a gathering where people could share their love of the outdoors and find new adventures. That spark has grown into New Zealand’s largest celebration of outdoor life, welcoming thousands every year.
Outdoor Expo 2025 runs 4–5 October at Canterbury Agricultural Park, Christchurch. From 9am Saturday to 4pm Sunday, the park will be alive with themed zones: 4×4 touring, hunting and fishing, campervans and caravans, camping and tramping, apparel and equipment, boating and water sports, adventure tourism, equestrian, cycling, outdoor living, and more.
Boating will again take centre stage at this year’s expo, with leading Kiwi builders on display. Stabicraft, Haines Hunter, and RaeLine are among the headline names.

White Pointer Boats will showcase their 750SC and 840SC models, a reflection of more than three decades of boat building expertise. “Come and see what 32 years of boat building experience looks like,” the team says, inviting visitors to meet the builders in person.
They’ll be joined by other confirmed exhibitors including Osprey, Huntsman, DNA Boats, and Hydro Marine. Supporting organisations such as Maritime New Zealand, Coastguard, Jet Boating NZ, and Sports Marine will also be on site, making the expo a one-stop destination for boaties.
Alongside boats, the show features caravans, and 4WDs, adventure tourism operators, community clubs, and plenty of food and beverage options. Visitors can try out gear, sample local flavours, and connect with outdoor organisations.
