It has been a few years since Boating New Zealand last featured a Beneteau Flyer, so we thought it was time to have another look, starting with the Flyer 10 Sport Top.
The Flyer range opens up a world of simple, spontaneous boating pleasure. These are boats designed for those who love the freedom of the water, whether heading out for a quick swim, a relaxed afternoon with friends, or a weekend escape. Each Flyer combines sleek design, smart use of space, and impressive performance to make boating easy and enjoyable.
The Flyer 10 Sport Top
At 9.95 metres overall with a beam of 3.35 metres, the Flyer 10 Sport Top is the flagship of the range. Styled by Sarrazin Design, it delivers the comfort of an express cruiser with the spirit of an open day boat. The design places strong emphasis on flow, light, and openness, with a layout that allows movement and socialising to feel effortless.
The hull uses Beneteau’s Air Step technology, which channels air beneath the running surface to increase lift, improve efficiency, and soften the ride. With twin outboards of up to 600 horsepower combined, the Flyer 10 Sport Top can reach around 35 knots while remaining stable and composed.
Inside and out
The deck layout offers multiple relaxation zones. A full-width cockpit features a folding bench that converts to a large sunpad, while the wide side decks lead forward to a three-person sunbathing area on the bow. The glass hard top protects the helm and seating area while maintaining excellent visibility and plenty of natural light.
Below deck are two double berths, a well-equipped galley, and a separate bathroom with shower. Long hull windows bring daylight deep into the interior, complemented by walnut joinery that gives a warm and contemporary feel.
Elegant versatility
The Flyer 10 Sport Top combines luxury and practicality in equal measure. It is agile enough for a quick day on the water yet comfortable enough for a longer coastal cruise. Stylish, functional, and beautifully built, it reflects Beneteau’s vision of boating freedom at its best.
