Riviera owners create a striking display on the Swan River

Riviera owners in Western Australia gathered in style this week, forming a wide horseshoe raft-up of 77 Riviera motor yachts on the Swan River off Matilda Bay. The annual event has grown into one of Perth’s most recognisable boating get-togethers, and this year’s fleet showed how strong the Riviera community remains across Australia.

More than 600 guests spent the afternoon aboard their yachts while live music played from a floating stage set in the middle of the formation. For many owners, it’s a chance to reconnect, swap stories, and enjoy a relaxed day on the river before the summer rush settles in.

The spectacle drew the attention of Channel 7 WA, which reported on the gathering and noted that the combined value of the fleet topped A$50 million. Numbers aside, the sight of so many Riviera yachts anchored together made for one of the most impressive scenes on the Swan this season.

The day was organised by R Marine Perth, who continue to put on a smooth event for Riviera owners each year. While similar raft-ups take place on the east coast, Western Australia had its moment this week — and the Swan River proved an ideal setting for one of the standout boating occasions of the year.
