2026 BOISW Racing A: Settles on precision in Race 5

Race 5 saw all five boats return to the start line, including Vixen Racing, who rejoined the division after stading down for Races 3 and 4 to complete a winch replacement. With the full fleet racing, the final result was settled cleanly on the water.

Heading into today’s racing, the division was clearly defined. Wired had established outright control on line honours, delivering three consecutive wins and setting the pace throughout the week. On handicap, consistency had been rewarded, with Equilibrium leading both EHC and PHRF, while Explore Racing remained within reach should the final race break her way.

Wired wins once again on Line

Wired once again led the fleet home in Race 5, finishing in an elapsed time of 1 hour 2 minutes 5 seconds to complete an unbroken line honours record for the series. Explore Racing followed just over four and a half minutes later, with Equilibrium 43 seconds further behind. Georgia One crossed in 1 hour 17 minutes 19 seconds, with Vixen Racing completing just under 11 minutes later.

5 Vixen Racing Sharon Ferris Choat 01:28:09 5

Explore Racing wins on EHC

Under EHC, Explore Racing won, with Equilibrium second and Wired third. Equilibrium’s finish preserved her consistent series performance, while Wired’s result again highlighted the trade off between outright pace and EHC handicap.

Wired back for PHRF

PHRF scoring tightened the margins further. Wired took the win, Explore Racing finished under 20 seconds later in second, and Equilibrium only four seconds behind in third—there was minimal separation across corrected times. All three sailed close to their numbers.

Georgia One finished fourth on both handicap systems. Vixen Racing placed fifth, closing out the week back on the racecourse after earlier mechanical issues.

With the final race still to come, the division will soon resolve to the series totals, where speed, consistency, and conversion will define the final standings.
