NZ Best Design Awards

Two marine companies were honoured at the Designers Institute of New Zealand Best Design Awards 2025 – Innovision Boats in the Consumer division and Vessev in Non-Consumer.

Innovision Boats awarded Gold for the Innovision 616 Venture

The judges commented:

The Innovision 616 Venture is a compact, fully walk-around 6-metre aluminium boat that combines open, fish-focused designs with cabin comfort and weather protection. It features an elevated 3m² casting platform, a functional double berth, and a walk-around hardtop cabin with custom 180-degree folding side doors. The helm station integrates complex electronics into an ergonomic layout, and the cockpit includes practical touches like full-length side storage shelves and a deluxe bait station. The CPC-rated hull ensures a dry, smooth ride and long-term durability. The 616 Venture sets a new benchmark in its category by delivering serious fishability, overnight capability, and genuine weather protection in a versatile package.
