The Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show returns April 24-26 to City Dock, featuring over 30 sailboats in the water, including both monohulls and multihulls. The lineup represents the second largest annual in-water display of sailboats in the country, surpassing the number of sailboats exhibited at the Miami show earlier this year. Timed with the start of spring commissioning across the Chesapeake Bay, the show gives sailors an opportunity to step aboard new models, compare designs, and connect with Chesapeake dealers as they prepare for the season ahead.
Owning a sailboat comes with ongoing decisions that extend well beyond the purchase, and the dealers gathered at the Spring Sailboat Show are a key part of that process. Many provide access to marina facilities, coordinate season haul-outs and winter storage, and manage the maintenance schedules that keep boats performing reliably. They also help owners navigate equipment upgrades, warranty needs, and evolving sailing goals, creating continuity from one season to the next. For new sailors especially, having a dependable contact for routine questions can make the learning curve far more manageable.
“Sailboat ownership is about building confidence and enjoying time on the water—that’s where strong dealer relationships make a difference,” said Sheila Jones, General Manager of the Annapolis Boat Shows. “Our dealers help owners prepare for each season, find the right boat, and plan ahead as their needs change.”
The docks will feature sailboats suited to a wide range of plans, from weekend cruising on protected waters to longer coastal trips. Visitors can move at their own pace, stepping aboard both monohulls and multihulls as they compare layouts, sailing systems, and onboard comforts while discussing practical ownership considerations with experienced teams.
Among the new models set to appear this spring, Signature Catamarans on Dock A will display the Lagoon 38, a compact cruising catamaran designed for efficient handling and balanced living space. Also on display will be the Lagoon 43, offering expanded interior volume and updated design features aimed at sailors preparing for extended cruising or entertaining aboard.
With its location in the center of Annapolis, the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show naturally lends itself to a full weekend visit. Between time on the docks, attendees can shop local boutiques, explore maritime landmarks, and enjoy waterfront dining just steps from City Dock. It’s an ideal setting to reconnect with the sailing community, gather ideas for the season ahead, and make the most of a spring weekend in one of the country’s most recognized sailing destinations.
