Tennis star Carlos Alcaraz steps into luxury yachting with a custom Sunreef Ultima 88.
Luxury catamaran builder Sunreef Yachts has announced that Carlos Alcaraz has commissioned a fully customised Sunreef Ultima 88, marking the tennis star’s entry into the world of luxury yachting.
The announcement was made during the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026, where Sunreef confirmed the Spanish champion as the latest high-profile owner to join its global fleet.

Alcaraz, one of the most recognised athletes of his generation and a multiple Grand Slam winner, has selected the Ultima 88 as a platform for both relaxation and performance. The model represents Sunreef’s latest generation of power catamarans, combining speed with the space and comfort expected of a multihull.
“I decided to order the ULTIMA 88 with Sunreef because I feel they are not only experts in luxury catamarans but true trendsetters. Building with them gives me confidence that this will be the perfect yacht to unwind and recharge. I feel that Sunreef and I share the same dynamic spirit — we are a great match.”

Sunreef founder and president Francis Lapp welcomed the signing, highlighting the alignment between the athlete and the brand.
“Carlos is another remarkable personality joining the House of Sunreef – a community of visionary owners whose achievements inspire the world and bring fresh energy to the yachting lifestyle.”

The Ultima 88 is designed with performance and versatility at its core. With a top speed of 26 knots, the yacht delivers fast cruising while maintaining the stability and efficiency benefits of a catamaran platform.
Onboard, the design centres on a large Ocean Lounge aft. This space integrates a hydraulic platform, unfolding side terraces and a garage for water sports equipment, providing direct access to the water.

Alcaraz’s yacht will be fully customised. The layout includes four guest cabins and a forward owner’s suite on the main deck. The full-beam master stateroom will feature natural light and a large bathroom with a bathtub, creating a private retreat at sea.
The flybridge will offer additional space for relaxation and outdoor dining, reinforcing the yacht’s focus on both leisure and performance.
The signing reflects a growing crossover between elite sport and luxury yachting, with high-performance athletes seeking vessels that match their lifestyle beyond competition.
