Zeelander starts 2026 strong with two yacht sales in January

Zeelander Yachts entered 2026 with the sale of two Zeelander 5 yachts in January, with the 14.7m (48ft) models destined for prime location, Monaco and Istanbul, two of the most visible, lifestyle-driven European yachting hubs. The deliveries underline sustained demand for the Dutch builder’s distinctive blend of design, engineering refinement, and quiet luxury. Especially in Turkey, as it has historically been a strong region for Zeelander, and the new build heading to Istanbul marks a notable return of deliveries to the country.

Often described as a superyacht in miniature, Zeelander Yachts’ 48-foot high-speed coupe is built to the highest standards. It’s evident in the nine-layer metallic paint process, rigorous sound insulation, generous cabin volumes, and a ride quality that remains composed and comfortable even at higher speeds. Also, the Zeelander 5’s extended beach platform creates a waterside space more often associated with significantly larger boats.
Performance is equally central to the concept. Owners can choose twin or triple Volvo Penta IPS 650 drives, enabling intuitive joystick handling in close quarters and top speeds of up to 40 knots. A refined hull form delivers a dry, composed ride with cruising comfort that belies the yacht’s performance. superyachts, where design identity and engineering sophistication carry as much weight as size.

A 450-nautical-mile range at cruising speed sets a benchmark at this level of speed, size, and finish, supporting longer coastal passages and island crossings with ease, while generous tank capacities allow extended time aboard in comfort and independence. Although Zeelander describes the model as a dayboat, the interior offers a level of sophistication rarely seen in this segment. The deck saloon combines deep sofas with dining for four and uninterrupted 360-degree views, achieved by eliminating traditional window mullions.

Below deck, gently curving stairs lead to two cabins, including an owner’s suite with an athwartships bed positioned to maximize natural light through the hull windows, extensive cabinetry, and a dedicated dressing area. The forward guest cabin features long twin berths, with shared access to a well-appointed head and separate shower.

With consistent interest in the Zeelander 5 since its introduction, the twin sales provide a confident start to the year and reinforce the yard’s position in the niche between premium dayboats and compact superyachts, where design identity and engineering sophistication carry as much weight as size.

The momentum continues with the upcoming launch of the second 24m (79ft) Zeelander 8 flagship, scheduled to touch the water in the coming weeks.
