After the 8 races of Group A, the group involving the AC37 teams which include New Zealand, UK, Switzerland, USA, France & Italy – the teams progressing to the next round, the semi’s, have been identified.

New Zealand had a mathematical chance until the last race, but (yet another) foiling failure moved our team to the back of the list.
France, who have been progressively improving during the regatta, had a technical failure and withdrew mid-race.
Alinghi Youth, similar to New Zealand, were present but not competitors.
We always want the Kiwi’s to progress, its a matter of pride, but having watched the races, the best teams have progressed to the next round.
