UK takes some Gib Damage (looks like a Carbon Fibre baton again) – Decides to Quickly Repair

The UK have just taken some damage to their Gib. Just like Luna Rossa in the first race, a carbon fibre baton seems to have impacted the INEOS Gib.

They are going to attempt, as Luna Rossa did in the first race, to make a running repair.

Support boat now alongside INEOS to do a Gib Fix

INEOS Britannia have completed some re-work of the Gib, appearing to modify the Gib and retention the sail  – at this stage work appears completed.

We have just taken a further delay in the start – although Luna Rossa was disqualified for a quick fix which went over time, the Brits have managed to make a repair and be ready for the race to start.
