For the third consecutive year, the Excess team welcomed visitors from around the world to their Poiré-sur-Vie shipyard for the highly anticipated Excess Factory Tour. Held on March 22, the 2025 edition did not disappoint, offering an immersive experience into the world of Excess catamarans. Owners, future owners, and sailing enthusiasts gathered to witness firsthand the production process behind the renowned Excess 11, Excess 14, and the all-new Excess 13 models.

The tour provided guests with a behind-the-scenes look at how the Excess catamarans are crafted. Guided by the expert Excess teams, visitors had the opportunity to explore each stage of production, from initial design to final assembly. Many future owners had the chance to see and touch their boats for the first time.

Attendees traveled from across the globe, with guests from the United States, Canada, Thailand, and various parts of Europe making the journey to Poiré-sur-Vie. Their enthusiasm for the Excess brand was palpable, as they engaged in lively discussions with designers, engineers, and craftspeople who bring these cutting-edge vessels to life.

Beyond the factory tour, the day was also a chance to connect with key industry partners and suppliers who contribute to the success of Excess catamarans. Representatives from Garmin, Yanmar Global, Elvstrøm Sails, Pascal Denis, Highfield Boats Spain, and many more were on-site to share insights about their contributions to the Excess models. Guests also had the chance to interact with My Excess partners, including 727 Sailbags, Bollé, Musto, PowerFoil, and Tiwal, among others.

The event concluded with a friendly gathering where visitors, dealers, and the Excess team came together to celebrate their shared passion for sailing. Conversations flowed as guests exchanged stories, experiences, and dreams of future voyages aboard their Excess catamarans.
