The Stabicraft Frontier 2050 – centre console brilliance, review coming soon

Published

There’s a reason Stabicraft’s new 2050 Frontier is already turning heads ahead of its full review in Boating New Zealand’s June issue. Billed as a “fishing masterpiece,” this rugged centre console machine delivers serious open water credibility in a smartly refined package.

Unveiled with the brand’s signature Adventure with Confidence™ ethos, the 2050 Frontier isn’t just a new model—it’s a next-gen evolution of one of Stabi’s most popular hull sizes. With a hull length of 6.32 metres, a dry weight of 875kg and a 200-litre fuel tank, it’s perfectly proportioned for long inshore missions and serious offshore sessions alike. And with a beam of 2.3m and a recommended 150–200hp outboard, the boat offers gutsy performance without compromising stability or ride quality.

At its core, the 2050 Frontier is designed for anglers who want space—lots of it. The fully walk-around centre console layout offers huge 360-degree casting and fishing access, with uncluttered deck space and clever stowage to match. Whether you’re hauling in kingfish or loading up for a day on the sandbanks, the layout adapts easily to your style.

From the 3mm + 3mm life ring construction and 5mm hull plate to the high gunwales, sealed chamber buoyancy and compliance with NZ CPC, US Coastguard and ABP standards, safety and build quality are every bit as impressive as performance.

If you’re after a bold, capable, and brilliantly versatile centre console, the 2050 Frontier could be the one you’ve been waiting for.
