From tomorrow (Friday 25 July to Sunday 27 July, Orakei Marina’s D Pier transforms into a showcase of New Zealand’s finest brokerage boats. Orakei Marine’s Open Days offer a unique opportunity to step aboard a broad selection of over 25 vessels ranging from family-friendly cruisers to luxury catamarans and performance motor yachts.

Visitors can expect a relaxed, on-water atmosphere, expert advice from experienced boaters and brokers. Open from 12–4pm on Friday and 10am–3pm on both Saturday and Sunday, the event caters to every boater—from first-time buyers to seasoned bluewater adventurers.

Jeanneau Merry Fisher 895 Serie2: A versatile weekender for Kiwi waters

A highlight among the powerboat lineup is the 2025 Jeanneau Merry Fisher 895 Series 2, fully equipped for comfort and functionality at $490,000. Nearby, the 2011 Riviera 5000 Sport Yacht offers a luxury co-ownership model at $460,000 (½ share), while the stunning 2019 Maritimo S51 commands attention at $1.79 million with its upscale features and turn-key presentation.

Lagoon 42 Catamaran

Sailing enthusiasts will be drawn to the 2009 Nordhavn 56 Motorsailer, a trawler-sailer hybrid now priced at $1.1 million, and the 2007 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42DS, with recent maintenance and smart cruising features for $260,000. Also on display is the 2018 Lagoon 42 catamaran, recently reduced to $850,000, offering family-friendly space and self-sufficiency for extended voyages.

Buyers seeking strong value will appreciate boats like the 2018 Rayglass Legend 2800 ($315,000), the versatile 2000 Don Senior 13.5m Radium ($280,000), or the distinctive 1996 Wellcraft Scarab Supersport, a 55-knot speedster priced at $170,000.

From bluewater-capable flybridge cruisers like the 1989 Don Webb 56 Ricochet and 2003 Don Senior 14m Helmsman, to express cruisers like the 2018 Jeanneau Leader 46 or 2005 Sea Ray Sundancer 52, the display reflects the diversity of New Zealand’s boating lifestyle.
