The first Azimut Grande 30M was launched this week at the company’s Viareggio shipyard in Italy. The vessel, which measures 28.8 metres in length, is the latest addition to the Italian builder’s Grande range and is set to make its official debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2025.

The design brings together two Italian firms working on an Azimut model together for the first time: Alberto Mancini, who handled the exterior lines, and m2atelier, responsible for the interiors.

Azimut describes the space as “light-filled” and designed around modern onboard living. The vessel is laid out with five guest cabins and three crew cabins, and includes six heads for guests and two for crew.

Key specs and propulsion

The Grande 30M is built using a mix of carbon fibre and GRP, a now-standard approach for Azimut’s larger models, aimed at reducing weight and improving efficiency. Power comes from a pair of 1800hp ZF Large Pod Plus drives, giving the boat a reported top speed of 25 knots.

The yacht’s fuel tank holds 12,000 litres, while freshwater capacity is listed at just 2 litres — most likely a placeholder or typo in the current published specifications.

Azimut indicates the model belongs to its “Low Emission Yacht” family, which reportedly includes hull, propulsion and materials design elements aimed at reducing fuel consumption and CO₂ output by up to 30%, compared to conventional planing yachts of similar size. The hull was designed by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture, in partnership with Azimut’s in-house R&D team.

Design features

Two features highlighted by the builder include the Deck2Deck™ Terrace, a fold-out system at the stern, and the Infinity Skydeck, which offers an open layout for the flybridge. At this stage, there are no detailed images of either feature in use on this model.

Exterior styling continues the current Azimut theme, with flowing lines, a high forward sheer, and fully integrated windows. The deck layout and interior fitout are follow current trends in the 30-metre market, with a focus on indoor-outdoor flow and minimal crew operation for private owners.

Inside, the configuration is classic for the size: five guest cabins, three crew, six bathrooms and two heads.

Public debut at Cannes

The Azimut Grande 30M will make its full public debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, alongside other new models in the Grande and Magellano ranges.
