Palm Beach 85 makes official world premiere

Palm Beach Motor Yachts’ flagship enters the water with style at Fort Lauderdale

Written by

Palm Beach Motor Yachts has officially launched the Palm Beach 85. Announced in June 2024, the PB85 has been a much-anticipated project. Now, in 2025, the yacht has made her world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, a milestone for the brand.

At 27.6 metres, the PB85 blends luxury, comfort, and performance. Owners can choose between Skylounge, Sedan, or Flybridge versions, with twin or triple engine options. The three or four stateroom, four-head layout suits family cruising or hosting guests, while the full-beam master stateroom amidships delivers light, space, and privacy.

Crew well-being has also been prioritised with generous quarters rarely seen in the 80-foot class. The single-level main deck flows from helm to cockpit, creating a sociable, open space for entertaining.

Like all Palm Beach models, the PB85 is built with V-Warp® Technology, developed from founder Mark Richards’ ocean-racing experience. The hull’s fine entry, smooth curvature, and minimal transom deadrise reduce drag while adding stability and lift. The yacht runs at a consistent five-degree angle across her speed curve, achieving up to 70% greater fuel efficiency than others in her class.

For Richards, the PB85 is deeply personal:

“The Palm Beach 85 represents a dream achieved… When she splashes, she’ll be the largest yacht we’ve built, and will represent a new level of luxury, fuel efficiency, and performance in the yachting industry.”
