A new horizon for Fountaine Pajot

We recently covered the Fountaine Pajot FPY 70, announced by The Yacht Sales Co. It turns out that was only the beginning. Almost quietly, Fountaine Pajot launched an entirely new line — Fountaine Pajot Yachts. Described by Fountaine Pajot as “new signature dedicated to large yachts” it marks the yard’s move into superyacht territory.

Their foray into larger yachts didn’t stop at seventy feet. The newly revealed FPY 110 (and sailing variant FPY 110S) is an audacious step into the super-cat arena. At 35 metres long, with sweeping architectural lines and a distinctly custom pedigree, the FPY 110 aims to redefine what a luxury cruising catamaran can be.

As explained by Fountaine Pajot “The FPY 110S marks the beginning of a new chapter in yachting: a 110′ superyacht offering over 600 m² of fluid, open living space. Combining a unique design language with advanced personalization options, this new icon embodies timeless elegance and a vision built to last. The horizon moves with you.”

A bold new benchmark in size and vision

At 35 m (114 ft) LOA with a 14.8 m beam, the FPY 110S extends far beyond Fountaine Pajot’s previous boundaries. Her 2.81 m draft puts her firmly in the deep-keeled, bluewater supercat class.

But size is only the beginning. The design centres on “living architecture” — more than 600 m² of usable volume over three decks, all connected by flowing sightlines, glass and light. Expansive glazing, deployable terraces and seamless transitions between inside and out promise an experience closer to a floating villa than a traditional yacht.

Each yacht will be built through Fountaine Pajot’s Bespoke Programme, allowing owners to tailor layout, materials and finishes almost from first principles. It’s a new level of personalisation for a builder once best known for production cruising cats.

Sail, power — or both

One of the FPY 110’s features is its dual identity. The sailing version, FPY 110S, carries an impressive rig — a 395 m² mainsail and a 262 m² genoa — while the motor version, FPY 110, offers twin 1,900 hp engines and a sun-deck spa option.

Passenger and crew capacity looks generous. The power version is designed for up to 12 guests and 6–7 crew, while the sailing model includes an owner’s duplex suite, multiple guest cabins and dedicated crew quarters.

Designed in collaboration with Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, the FPY’s distinctive form — its “butterfly” side windows and origami-style unfolding terraces — is as much art as engineering.

What we know — and what’s still “on demand”

Fountaine Pajot has released only partial data so far. Key figures such as displacement, tank capacities and expected performance remain “version on demand.”

Even so, indicators are emerging. One European report estimates the FPY 110’s starting price near €18 million, and a new build hall in La Rochelle is being prepared to handle vessels of this scale. The first hull is already underway, with delivery expected in 2028.

Until sea trials begin, her range, fuel efficiency and motion in heavy seas will remain educated guesses. Yet the ambition is unmistakable: this is a yacht meant to elevate Fountaine Pajot from production-line prestige to the world of genuine custom superyachts.
