AutoTrack™ Expands Across the Simrad® Radar Range

Simrad® is broadening access to its most advanced radar-tracking technology with the expansion of AutoTrack™ across select HALO® dome radars. Originally introduced on the powerful HALO 2000 and 3000 open-array systems, AutoTrack is now available on the popular HALO 20+ and HALO 24 models, bringing intelligent, automated situational awareness to an even wider range of vessels.

Simrad Yachting launches AutoTrack™ for HALO® 2000 & 3000 Radars

AutoTrack™ transforms how boaters interact with radar by continuously analysing every sweep and automatically detecting, tracking, and ranking up to 50 targets at once. Instead of manually adjusting settings or worrying about missed information, operators receive clear, prioritised insights on the targets that matter most. This allows captains to stay focused on navigation and decision-making—especially in busy waterways or low-visibility conditions.

$599,000
Spacious 2012 Beneteau Oceanis 58 with offshore capabilities, three cabins, twin helms, and extensive cruising equipment.

One of AutoTrack’s major strengths is its seamless integration. Enabled by default and built directly into the familiar Simrad® interface, the feature behaves like a natural extension of the helm. There is no complicated setup, no steep learning curve—just immediate, intelligent tracking the moment the radar is powered on. For boaters who rely on rapid awareness and streamlined operation, this simplicity represents a significant advantage.

The expansion of AutoTrack to HALO dome radars is available now through a straightforward software update, giving existing users an instant upgrade path. This broadens the reach of Simrad’s most innovative radar capability, offering more vessels access to automated tracking than ever before.

For those new to Simrad® radar, the rollout also highlights how far marine radar technology has evolved. With advanced processing, automated target prioritisation, and intuitive controls, modern systems like HALO 20+, 24, 2000, and 3000 deliver smarter, safer on-water awareness in an increasingly complex maritime environment.

AutoTrack™ is compatible with Simrad® HALO 2000, HALO 3000, HALO 20+, and HALO 24 radars. It is not available on the HALO 20.
