She was built in Queensland Australia to AMSA ship survey certification from 4mm marine aluminum under the supervision of a marine architect and professional boat builder. Having sailed to many countries and through many big storms safely, Gundy Two has proven her seaworthiness and has even survived the 2004 tsunami in Phuket with no problems.
The catamaran features two Yanmar engines, one brand-new 54 HP with sail drive and her second engine is a newly rebuilt Yanmar 38 HP with sail drive. She also has one original 38hp engine and sail drive as spare. Her sail wardrobe comprises a new Tasker main and genoa with a large older screecher for down-wind sailing.
The catamaran was designed and built for performance with aero-dynamic mini keels, which also allows for easy beaching for any emergency maintenance. Gundy Two has been built as a liveaboard / charter boat and operated in Thailand 15 years after being a skippered commercial vessel in Australia, running trips to New Guinea, Solomon Islands and along Great Barrier Reef. She is presented in excellent condition with all new paint/ varnish inside and out.
There is nothing required to spend on this beauty. She can carry 2000 litres of water and 530 litres of diesel, making her perfect for long-range, extended cruising adventures. Gundy Two also has a new battery bank and big solar system.
