A new partnership with Pindar by Manuport Logistics gives the US syndicate vital momentum as it works to secure its America’s Cup entry.
A major step for a new American challenger
Riptide Racing has announced its first formal partnership as it works to confirm a late American challenge for the 38th America’s Cup. The team has partnered with Pindar by Manuport Logistics, a specialist marine logistics provider with decades of experience across elite yacht racing.
The syndicate is headed by Chris Poole, the world’s top ranked match racing skipper, who is leading Riptide’s push to secure entry before the 31 January 2026 deadline. The team is targeting USD 30 million to meet late entry requirements and a total campaign budget of USD 50 million.
Riptide Racing America’s Cup bid: a late US challenger steps into the frame
The partnership follows recent confirmation of Riptide’s collaboration with the Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, providing the structure required for an American challenge.
An experienced partner with deep Cup pedigree
Pindar by Manuport Logistics enters the campaign with one of the strongest records in marine events. The company has supported teams and event organisers across the last four America’s Cup cycles, the last three editions of The Ocean Race, and a long list of professional series including the GC32 Racing Tour, Extreme Sailing Series and the Star Sailors League Gold Cup.
Their marine focus spans yacht and equipment movement, event infrastructure, customs and compliance, and contingency planning for global campaigns. While logistics is their core contribution, their role within Riptide is defined as a partnership, rather than a commercial logistics contract.
For Poole, the value of that support is clear.
“Mounting an America’s Cup challenge is a massive undertaking with a huge number of moving parts,” he says. “Effective management of our shipping and logistics is a key element in the potential success of our campaign, and we are delighted to have such an experienced partner as Pindar by Manuport Logistics in our corner.”
Confidence built on long professional ties
Andrew Pindar, a partner in the company, says the relationship is built on trust formed through years on the match racing circuit.
“Chris and I have known each other for many years from the World Match Racing Tour, and I am confident he has the skills and personal drive to get this campaign over the line,” he says.
Pindar also emphasises the specialist environment they operate in.
“The America’s Cup is a highly sensitive and secretive environment, and everyone in our organization fully understands the importance of confidentiality in the work we do.”
With preparations already underway for the 2026 preliminary regattas and the 2027 Match in Naples, the company has been “preparing for many months to continue to deliver efficiencies, savings, and excellent service” to its Cup clients.
A partnership that strengthens Riptide’s credibility
If Riptide Racing completes its entry, the United States will rejoin an America’s Cup landscape that continues to evolve. Naples 2027 will be the first time Italy hosts the event, with up to six teams expected to race AC75 foiling monohulls at near 60 miles an hour.
For now, the Riptide Racing partnership with Pindar by Manuport Logistics is a timely step forward. It gives the American syndicate a proven partner, strengthens its fundraising case and moves it closer to the start line in a crowded and competitive AC38 cycle.
