The Auckland Boat Show holds the proud distinction of being the southernmost on water boat show in the world. Celebrating its 25th anniversary from 5 to 8 March 2026, the show brings together more than 150 exhibitors and over 200 boats on and off the water.
This year, more new releases and New Zealand premieres will be unveiled across the marina and hardstand.
If you want to see where boating in New Zealand is heading, start here.
13.8m Elite Kaeā
The 13.8m Elite Kaeā is one of the true headline acts. Designed by Bill Upfold and built by Tauranga based Marra Marine, this is the yard’s first new build.
The brief was uncompromising. A capable commuter between Wellington and Picton. Twenty nautical miles across Cook Strait, where tide and southern weather rarely offer favours. Efficiency was important, but seakeeping came first. The result is a modern classic with genuine offshore credibility and enough comfort for extended stays in the Marlborough Sounds.
Elite AT43 by Allan Tongs Boatbuilders
Also from the desk of Bill Upfold, the updated Elite AT43 continues to build momentum in the local market. Crafted by Allan Tongs Boatbuilders, the 43 foot launch reflects how many Kiwis actually use their boats.
Fishing, diving, cruising the coast. The AT43 blends practicality with refined finishing in a way that feels natural rather than forced. With ten launched and more under construction, this is a proven platform rather than a concept.
Offshore Boats NZ 1100 HTC
The 1100 HTC from Offshore Boats New Zealand introduces foil assisted efficiency into a serious offshore package.
Twin 350hp Yamaha V6 outboards and full Helm Master control, including dual joystick stations, place handling front and centre. The foil assistance supports ride quality and efficiency without adding unnecessary complexity. This is a purpose built platform for game fishing, diving and long coastal missions.
Surtees 770 Game Fisher XL
Surtees arrives with the new 770 Game Fisher XL and will offer on water demonstrations by booking.
This is not a crossover with rod holders added as an afterthought. The 770 is built first as a fishing platform, with genuine shelter and overnight capability layered in. Built in Whakatāne, it reflects years of owner feedback from those wanting to push further offshore and stay longer, without sacrificing the Surtees ride and balance.

Rayglass 2400 hull preview
Rayglass will reveal the all new 2400 hull, offering an early look at a model years in development. Early previews of new hull forms are rare, and expectations will be high given Rayglass’ reputation for ride and build quality.
Rayglass will also be showcasing their Rayglass 2700 and Rayglass 3000, alongside RAM New Zealand.
Tristram 821 Offshore – APEX Edition
Tristram’s new 821 Offshore – APEX Edition raises the specification bar.
Features include an APEX steering wheel, digital dash switches, custom rocket launcher, triple rigged game poles, underfloor rod storage, LED lighting and both freshwater and saltwater washdown systems. Recently tested hard offshore by Kingsley and the Lateral Line Legends, the 821 APEX has already been put through real world conditions.
Fin Chaser 800 Hard Top Amphibious
The Fin Chaser 800HTA Hard Top Walkaround Amphibious targets serious offshore performance combined with multi role flexibility. Powered by Mercury’s 425hp V10 Verado, it centres around a true walkaround layout that maintains cabin width, bunk space and headroom.
Forward, a 6m² platform offers genuine working and lounging space, while the overnight layout supports extended missions. This is amphibious thinking applied to practical offshore use.

Riviera premieres – 4300 Sports Express and 58 Sports Motor Yacht
R Marine Flagship will present the Riviera 4300 Sports Express in its New Zealand debut. Capable of more than 30 knots, it combines open stern access, entertaining space and accommodation for five.
Also debuting locally is the Riviera 58 Sports Motor Yacht. Increased fuel capacity, solar integration and lithium systems support extended offshore independence.
SARGO 45 – Australasian premiere
European Marine brings the Finnish built SARGO 45 to New Zealand for its regional premiere. Designed for year round adventure cruising, it combines wheelhouse protection with proven offshore capability. Recently named Adventure Boat winner at the Motorboat and Yachting Awards, the SARGO 45 reflects practical European design tailored for challenging conditions.
Excess 11 – first in New Zealand presented by 36° Brokers
Presented by 36° Brokers, Nina Simone is the first Excess 11 to reach New Zealand. Having sailed across from Australia, she has already demonstrated capability.
At 37 feet, the Excess 11 delivers twin performance helms, a square top main and open cockpit living. It offers sailors a compact yet engaging multihull option in a market hungry for versatility.
Seawind 1170
Fresh from being named Multihull of the Year at the British Yachting Awards, the Seawind 1170 represents a new generation of performance cruising catamarans. Built at Seawind’s European facility and supported locally through the partnership between Multihull Central and Icon Azzure, the 1170 blends offshore capability with cruising comfort in a format that resonates strongly with Kiwi sailors.
