The Lagoon 47 signals the next stage in the evolution of Lagoon’s cruising catamaran range, bridging the yard’s established design heritage with a new generation of blue water sailing.
Positioned in what the builder describes as the fleet’s “sweet spot”, the Lagoon 47 is intended to sit at the centre of the range, offering a balance between manageable size and serious cruising capability. Lagoon says the boat draws on ideas seen in earlier recent models, including the Lagoon 38 and Lagoon 43, combining sustainability initiatives with expanded onboard living spaces.

According to early information released by the builder, the design aims to deliver the panoramic views and interior volume that have become hallmarks of the brand while refining the hull form to maintain responsive sailing performance in the mid sized cruising category.
Lagoon is also continuing its push toward more environmentally conscious construction. The Lagoon 47 is expected to incorporate bio sourced resins and components reinforced with natural fibres such as hemp, part of the company’s wider sustainability programme introduced across its 2025 to 2026 model updates.
Interior and cockpit design will focus heavily on the connection between living spaces. Lagoon says the layout has been designed to create a continuous flow between cockpit and saloon, blurring the line between interior comfort and life outdoors.

For many cruising sailors, boats in the 45 to 50 foot range represent an ideal platform for extended voyaging. They offer sufficient space for family or guests while remaining manageable for owner operators on long passages.
The Lagoon 47 is expected to make its official public debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September 2026, where full specifications and final design details are likely to be revealed.
