JOB OPENING – Safety Diver
ROLE OVERVIEW
K-Challenge, the French Challenger for the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup, to be held in Naples, Italy, in Spring / Summer 2027 is looking for a safety diver from spring 2026 to June 2027.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
K-Challenge is looking for a safety diver to support the team in the preparation of it safety procedure as well as someone who is able to join sailing sessions to offer a rapid medical response in case of emergency.
The responsibilities include:
– Being responsible for the team safety equipment (sourcing and maintenance)
– Development of safety training for the athletes and on water staff.
– Creation of safety procedures
– Being onboard the assistance boat during all sailing sessions of K-Challenge sailing vessels to ensure first assistance and medical response in case of incident
– Outside the sailing sessions, the safety diver will support the shore team in various maintenance task depending on capabilities
PROFILE
• Languages: Fluent in English / French and Italian are a bonus
• Previous experience as a safety diver
• Experience in emergency rescue
• First aid certificate at minimum
• Background in professional sailing or high-speed boat handling
• Good team spirit
• Adaptability and flexibility are key
CONDITIONS
• Full time position on a fixed term contract
• Rate depending on experience
• Based in Lorient for spring 2026 than full time position in Naples, Italy with travels
