Notices to Mariners June 2026: New charts, harbour updates and navigation changes

Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) has released the latest Notices to Mariners (Edition 13, 26 June 2026), highlighting a range of chart corrections, new chart editions and navigational updates affecting New Zealand waters.

Key updates

• New and updated nautical chart editions released for selected New Zealand coastal areas.
• Harbour and approach chart corrections published to improve navigational accuracy.
• Updated positions and characteristics for selected navigation aids.
• Amendments to depths, seabed features and underwater obstructions where new hydrographic information is available.
• Revisions to maritime infrastructure, including wharves, moorings and other charted features.
• Temporary and Preliminary Notices updated, reflecting current works, hazards and operational changes around the New Zealand coast.
• Electronic Navigational Chart (ENC) updates issued to match the latest chart corrections.

Mariners are encouraged to ensure both paper and electronic charts are fully up to date before heading out, particularly when navigating ports, harbour entrances and frequently changing coastal areas.
