Scania New Zealand acquires Power Solutions

Written by

Effective March 1, Scania New Zealand merged the operations of South Pacific Diesel Systems into its business, strengthening its customer support and Power Solutions capability across New Zealand.

“South Pacific Diesel has been integral to Scania’s success in New Zealand,” said Victor Carvalho, Managing Director, Scania New Zealand. “This transition strengthens customer relationships, supports further investment in our people and infrastructure, and allows us to consolidate marine and industrial engine sales and service alongside our existing product range.”

A longstanding and respected Scania partner, South Pacific Diesel Systems brings strong technical expertise and local market knowledge. Scania New Zealand will build on this foundation to ensure continuity and stability for customers and employees. Ross Williamson, Managing Director of South Pacific Diesel Systems, said customers will benefit from improved coordination across service, technical support, and supply chain teams, as well as direct access to Scania’s national parts network.

Business continued as usual throughout the transition, with no disruption to service, parts supply, or support.
