The 9.22 m twin-outboard boat has had its Americas premieres at Newport and heads next to Fort Lauderdale and Düsseldorf, with US deliveries planned for late 2027.
Beneteau has unveiled the Flyer 30, a 9.22 m day boat with twin outboards that the French builder says begins the next generation of its Flyer range. The boat was announced on 10 September. Its official Americas premiere followed at the Newport International Boat Show from 17–20 September.
The next shows are the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (28 October–1 November) and boot Düsseldorf (23–31 January 2027). Beneteau’s US arm says customer deliveries are planned for autumn 2027.
Beneteau says the Flyer 30 is aimed at boaters who want the simplicity of a day boat and the ability to travel further along the coast.
Naval architecture is by Michael Peters Yacht Design of Sarasota, Florida, which also designed Beneteau’s Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40 Coupe. The hull is a twin-step SVVT, short for stepped vee ventilated tunnel. It is a patented MPYD design with a shallow tunnel aft of the last step. Beneteau says the hull is intended to give more lift and efficiency, predictable handling and well-balanced weight.
The Flyer 30 has a beam of 3.10 m and a deadrise of 20° at the transom. It weighs about 3860 kg without engines and 4413 kg with them. Maximum power is up to 600 hp (447 kW) in total from twin 300s. Fuel capacity is 795 L and fresh water 140 L. Draught is 0.66 m with the engines tilted and 1.09 m with them down. The provisional specifications list CE category C for up to 10 people.
The deck is on a single level, laid out asymmetrically. A wrap-around lounge sits in the bow, and the helm seats three behind a full-height windscreen with a wiper. There is a wet bar with a Corian top and sink, and the aft seating can be reconfigured. A lockable sliding door in the console opens to a moulded head compartment with an electric toilet and a sink.
