Sydney’s largest marine and boating event has wrapped up another successful year, with thousands attending the 2026 Sydney Boat Show at Sydney Showground from 30 July to 2 August.
Building on a legacy dating back to 1960, the four-day event featured more than 100 exhibitors, over 350 boats and watercraft, thousands of marine products, Australian premieres, industry innovations, live demonstrations and family entertainment.
Hosted by the Boating Industry Association (BIA), the show showcased everything from luxury yachts and trailer boats to marine technology, fishing equipment and water sports. BIA Chief Executive Andrew Fielding said attendance increased on last year, highlighting the strength and resilience of Australia’s marine industry.
Exhibitors reported strong engagement and sales results, with many noting consistent crowds and high-quality buyer enquiries throughout the event.
Visitors explored vessels from leading Australian and international brands, while Transport for NSW’s Boating Safety Zone and the BIA Careers Information Days attracted significant interest, including more than 700 high school students.
The show also featured boating safety forums, live entertainment and presentations from leading fishing personalities, including Andrew “ET” Ettingshausen, Steve Starling, Michael Cooke and Paul Burt.
The Sydney Boat Show is owned by the BIA and supported by Transport for NSW, Anaconda, GMSV, Century Batteries, MitchCap and Pacific Boating.
