New Zealand’s Aimee Bright has strengthened her grip on the leader’s yellow bib at the iQFOiL under-23 World Championships in Poland, winning three more races to remain atop the leaderboard for a third straight day.
The Manly Sailing Club rider has now won seven of the 12 qualifying races completed in Puck, including three of the four Slalom races sailed overnight (NZ time).
Bright leads Norway’s Maya Gysler by eight points, while Kiwi Stella Bilger, competing under the Australian flag, has moved into third overall.
It continues a strong championship for Bright, who has set the pace since the opening day when she won three of four Course Races.

Her form in Puck follows a 19th-place finish at the senior iQFOiL World Championships in Weymouth, where illness affected her preparation.

The 20-year-old has otherwise enjoyed an impressive 12 months, winning silver at both the iQFOiL European Championships in Portugal in May and the Olympic Classes Regatta in Long Beach in July.
She also returns to the under-23 Worlds as the defending silver medallist, having finished second behind Bilger at last year’s championship in Portimão, Portugal, as the two Kiwis secured a one-two finish.
With four Slalom races completed by each fleet on Day 3, Bright has maintained her advantage as the championship heads towards its decisive stages.
Racing continues on the Bay of Puck, with the action set to be broadcast live from tonight. Follow it here.
