Self-polishing antifoul

AkzoNobel’s new Micron® 99 incorporates unique Self Polishing Copolymer (SPC) and Biolux® technology to create a continuous polishing action that minimises drag and maximises speed to increase fuel efficiency and vessel performance while reducing emissions to the environment.

Self-polishing means Micron® 99 requires fewer coats and eliminates the need to reapply each season, since it doesn’t lose its antifouling effectiveness out of the water. It delivers long-lasting protection and multi-season performance in salt, brackish and fresh waters.

Available in black and blue and red, Micron 99® is compatible with fibreglass, wood, steel, iron and lead, but not aluminium/alloy substrates or zinc-sprayed surfaces.
Micron 99® will be highlighted at The Sydney International Boat Show, 29th July – 1st August 2021, as part of its launch into the Asia-Pacific market.
