Step aboard DreamCatcher and enter the golden age of sailing. Designed in 1969 by the legendary Frederick R. Parker and launched in 1974 by George Nulson & Co.

in Western Australia, this 65-foot steel ketch blends timeless style with robust offshore capability. With just two owners since her launch, DreamCatcher has sailed through the decades with enduring grace. Her broad 5.23-metre beam—generous for her era—provides impressive stability under sail, and she was previously certified for commercial use: accommodating 12 guests plus 2 crew overnight (200 NM offshore) or up to 51 guests in partially smooth waters.

Built not just to impress, but to perform. Constructed with a solid steel hull and deck, DreamCatcher features a beautifully appointed interior with rich jarrah timbers throughout. She is currently laid out with two spacious cabins and convertible berths to accommodate up to 12 guests.

A third cabin can be reinstated by simply reinstalling a removable partition. Two electric bathrooms, a fully equipped galley with 680L of refrigeration, and air conditioning in the owner’s suite deliver comfort rarely found in yachts of this vintage. The powerplant is a fully overhauled 101hp GM Detroit diesel with just 560 hours, paired with 1,400L of fuel and 800L of fresh water, offering strong autonomy for bluewater cruising.

While DreamCatcher would benefit from updates to her electronics, some cosmetic refinements, and light electrical work, her fundamentals remain sound. Currently on the hardstand in Phuket, she awaits a discerning new custodian to write her next chapter. For those with a passion for classic vessels, DreamCatcher presents a rare and rewarding opportunity—to cruise, host, or compete on the international classic yacht scene.
