Enter the spacious and functional cockpit with table, comfortable lounges, and a double helm chair. With the main mast bulkhead set back it enables a huge saloon area with wrap around lounge, large navigation station and great storage throughout. The galley is down in the hull, perfect for preparing a meal out at sea. She features two queen sized cabins and a double sized cabin on the starboard side.
Her owner’s cabin to features a private ensuite. Like most original UK built Prouts, the 45 was set up with a cutter rig with the mast set well back for easy short-handed sailing and most of the lines running down the mast into the cockpit. With a smaller mainsail, a larger genoa and self-tacking staysail, this makes her very versatile and easy to handle with a shorthanded crew, or even on your own.
This is a functional, liveaboard cruising catamaran. She is solid fiberglass under the waterline, 9mm cored above the waterline, with Kevlar reinforcements. The original Prout Catamarans are renowned for their safety, load-carrying capabilities, reliability, ease of handling and comfort, and were designed for long-term live-aboard cruising and ocean passages.
