Catimini is a beautiful one-owner-from-new Island Spirit 40 built in Cape Town for tough South African conditions. As with all the Southern cats, her aft cockpit is huge compared to some more modern models and features a weatherproof windscreen, hard bimini and surrounding shadecloth, affording excellent protection from the elements. Energy needs are taken care of with recent wind, solar and a backup genset available, although with Lithium storage batteries, the genset hardy needs running. The Yanmar engines were rebuilt recently, so she has many more years of motoring should the wind drop.
