If you’re searching for a used Mercury outboard motor for sale in New Zealand, this 2006 Mercury 135hp Optimax is a strong and affordable option for your next boat repower. Powered by Mercury’s direct-injected two-stroke technology, the Optimax delivers responsive power and good fuel efficiency for its size. Compared with a traditional carburetted two-stroke outboard, direct fuel injection delivers fuel while retaining the punchy performance two-stroke engines are known for.
With 135hp on hand, this engine would suit a wide range of fibreglass and aluminium trailer boats. Whether you’re replacing an older outboard, completing a boat project or looking for a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new engine, this Mercury Optimax is well worth considering. The engine comes complete with Mercury remotes and SmartCraft gauges, giving you the essential controls and engine displays required for a repower.
The included gauges feature speed are included. Included with the engine:
Mercury remote controls
Mercury gauges
Professional outboard fitting and installation can also be arranged through our workshop at an additional cost. Our team can discuss your boat, existing setup and fitting requirements to help determine whether this Mercury 135hp Optimax is suitable for your repower.
The engine is available to view in Taupō. The photos provide a detailed look at the cowling, lower unit, propeller, mounting bracket, remotes and gauges. If you’ve been looking for a Mercury 135hp outboard, used two-stroke boat engine or an affordable outboard repower package in New Zealand, get in touch with the team today.
