After 40 years of service to the marine industry, Bob Tait is retiring.

Bob and wife Jill have sold their business, Tohatsu Outboards NZ Ltd, distributor for Tohatsu outboard motors in New Zealand, to business partner Lakeside Marine NZ Ltd, a subsidiary of Lakeside Marine Pty Sydney.
Lakeside Marine, the Tohatsu dealers for Australia, is owned by the Goddard family. John and Micheal Goddard have enjoyed strong business and personal relationships with the Taits for over 25 years.
In New Zealand the business will continue trading as Tohatsu Outboards NZ Ltd, with the same address, same PO Box number, phone, email and personnel. Brendan and Karen retain their positions serving Tohatsu dealers around the country. They will be ably supported by the team in Australia.
Bob will work with the new owners for two months in an advisory capacity, to ensure Tohatsu Outboards product in New Zealand makes a smooth transition to Lakeside Marine.
Bob and Jill intend to continue distributing irrigation products and managing their commercial properties under their family banner, BJ Enterprises Ltd.
