M/Y Isla launched

Written by

Isla – a 24m explorer-styled superyacht, was launched in Whangārei last month.

She’s been designed with serious offshore cruising in mind and embodies traditional exploration qualities such as extreme sea going and long-range capabilities, as well as comfort and stability.

The collaborative build involved several locally-based companies – including Kit Carlier Design, Marine and Industrial Electrics, Harbourside Shipyard, Marine and Industrial Rebuilds and JP Marine.

The joyous occasion was celebrated with wine from the owner’s estate – Dancing Petrel Sparkling Isla Rosé.
