Surtees Boats and Yamaha Motor (NZ) Ltd have again joined forces to create the must-be-won Surtees-Yamaha $280K-plus Grand Prize package for the 2022 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.

With a retail value of over $280,000, the prize is centred around Surtees’ 7.5m 750 Game Fisher enclosed cabin featuring Surtees’ SiQ™ technology package.
Designed for extended offshore cruising, the 2022 Grand Prize boat has a 400-litre underfloor fuel tank, 530 litres of water ballast, an 80-litre freshwater tank, hot water shower and sink, Engel fridge and an electric toilet.
The cabin boasts twin roof hatches and sliding rear bulkhead windows, twin Hi Tech Plastic carbon deluxe seats and three Exalto Pantagraph wipers.
The Grand Prize is supplied with $5000 worth of Okuma fishing gear, a pair of Ocean Blue outriggers, a washdown hose and numerous other practical fishing features to complement its large, uncluttered fishing cockpit.
Clothed in an eye-catching wrap from Brave Design, the 2022 Grand Prize features SeaDek flooring; a Lone Star GX3 drum winch; a Hella marine LED lighting package; and Lectrotab auto-retract trim tabs.
Yamaha’s new F250 V6 DES outboard fitted with Yamaha’s Helm Master EX control system powers the boat.

The engine
Packing serious offshore grunt, Yamaha’s refined, all-new 4.2-litre F250 V6 DES Offshore series engine incorporates technological advancements from the flagship V8 425hp XTO, including Digital Electric Steering (DES).
Yamaha’s Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust system delivers better grip and thrust in reverse. TotalTilt™ fully tilts the outboard up or down with a double push of the tilt buttons and the engine now tilts completely clear of the water.

Yamaha’s Helm Master EX control system features joystick piloting, digital electronic controls, digital electric steering and Yamaha autopilot. Helm Master EX now has single-function buttons to engage popular modes.

The trailer
The Hosking Trailers tandem-axle Grand Prize trailer has a Credo Direct Brake system with wireless brake controller from Trailparts. Rated to 3500kg with Treadway light commercial tyres, alloy rims and a Trojan stainless steel braking system, it has an electric Superwinch S5500 winch, a back-up 15:1 manual winch and 40 Jakaar multi-rollers for easy boat retrieval.

The electronics
A 16-inch Garmin GPSMAP 8416xsv MFD at the helm is paired with a 9-inch GPSMAP 953xsv in the cockpit. Dual transducers cater to Panoptix real-time 3D imagery, medium frequency CHIRP sonar, CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü scanning sonar.
A 24-inch, 48NM Garmin GMR24 Fantom radar, Garmin 115i 25W VHF radio and a Fusion Apollo MS-RA770 multi-speaker stereo complete the package.

There’s more!
To keep the crew safe six Hutchwilco 170N manual inflatable lifejackets, a Hutchwilco powerboat flare kit, an ACR Electronic Distress Flare, safety grab-bag, First Aid kit and a year’s worth of Yamaha Marine Insurance are included.
Hutchwilco also supplies a couple of Kai Cooler fish insulated catch bags, a Desalt cleaning kit, a Loose Unit ski rope and ski biscuit and dock and bow lines.

All ticket holders eligible to enter the draw. Tickets bought online get a Free Bonus Entry and also automatically go into the draw for an $8000 powered Viking Kayaks’ fishing kayak package.
