The Riviera 4600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition has made waves internationally, securing a place as a finalist in the prestigious 2024 Best of Boats Award. This announcement, made during the Cannes Yachting Festival in France, marks a significant achievement for Riviera Australia, as they are the only non-European builder in the running for this year’s honours.

Among an elite selection of five yachts competing in the “Best of Big Boats” category, Riviera Australia stands alongside prominent builders from Spain, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Greece. With the award ceremony set to take place during Berlin’s Boat & Fun Boat Show on 28 November, the industry eagerly anticipates the unveiling of the winners in what has become the world’s largest motorboat competition.

About the Best of Boats Award

Launched in 2014, the Best of Boats Award has grown to become a hallmark of excellence for motorboats worldwide, encompassing a vast network of boating journalists and editorial teams from Europe and beyond. Its judges bring extensive experience in boat testing and share a focus on addressing the real-world needs of boaters—a philosophy that has attracted global attention and respect for the award. The event brings together a wide range of countries and regions to celebrate excellence in the motorboating industry.

Riviera’s owner, Rodney Longhurst, expressed pride in the company’s achievement, stating, “This is one of the most respected boating awards in the world—and is a fantastic accolade for our amazing 900-strong team. We are all immensely honoured to be the only finalist from outside of Europe.” Longhurst attributed the recognition to the brand’s relentless pursuit of quality and innovation, noting, “We are always striving to be different and better. Being named as a finalist in the Best of Boats Award highlights the dedication of our extremely talented team in designing and creating luxury motor yachts of distinction.”
