A sleeker, faster, and smarter multifunction display for Kiwi boaties

After its highly anticipated launch at the Miami International Boat Show last week, Simrad Yachting’s latest innovation, the NSS®4 multifunction display, is set to make its New Zealand debut at the Auckland Boat Show. Boasting cutting-edge technology, lightning-fast processing speeds, and seamless integration, the NSS®4 is designed to elevate the helm experience for both offshore sportfishers and cruising enthusiasts.

This next-generation premium chartplotter and fishfinder redefines performance and usability, featuring an all-new 8-core Qualcomm processor, built-in dual-channel CHIRP sonar, and advanced connectivity with third-party systems. Available in 10-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch screen sizes, the NSS®4 range starts at approximately $4,250 NZD, making it a compelling choice for those looking to upgrade their vessel’s electronics.

Designed for total control in all conditions

One of the standout features of the NSS®4 is its versatile hybrid control system, offering:

  • Touchscreen operation for intuitive control.
  • Rotary dial and keypad for easy access in rough conditions.
  • Glass-to-edge design, delivering a premium, modern look to any helm.
Better User Interface

Whether you’re navigating offshore or chasing big game fish, the NSS®4’s sleek interface and advanced control options ensure a seamless, responsive experience—no lag, no delays, just instant access to the data you need.

Powerful processing, superior fishfinding

Equipped with the latest 8-core Qualcomm processor, the NSS®4 offers blazing-fast page transitions, ultra-smooth auto-routing, and instant app switching—even when handling multiple sonar sources.

Anglers will appreciate the built-in dual-channel 1kW CHIRP sonar, which supports Active Imaging™ HD sonar and allows tracking of up to four sonar sources on a single screen—a first for Simrad multifunction displays. The detailed C-MAP® DISCOVER® X and REVEAL® X charts provide real-time data for pinpointing the best fishing locations, ensuring every trip is as productive as possible.

Seamless integration with leading marine systems

As a fully integrated marine electronics hub, the NSS®4 supports:

  • Simrad® RECON™ and Rhodan® trolling motors.
  • Full Simrad suite compatibility, including S3100 & S5100 sonar modules, radar, and autopilot.
  • Multiple IP cameras, CZone® digital switching, RGBW lighting, and audio systems.
  • Mercury®, Suzuki®, and Honda® engine integration, with onscreen cruise control, active trim, and real-time diagnostics.

This unrivalled connectivity ensures the NSS 4 fits seamlessly into any vessel, allowing boat owners to customise and control their helm like never before.
