Surtees Boats has taken another bold step in its evolution with the launch of the all-new 720 Game Fisher, unveiled for the first time at the 2025 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show. This model rounds out Surtees' premium Game Fisher range, and it’s not just a bigger boat—it’s a more refined, more capable, and more comfortable offshore performer that’s been purpose-built for serious anglers and adventurous families alike.

Sitting proudly at 7.2 metres overall, the 720 Game Fisher represents a leap forward in both form and function. The first thing you’ll notice is the raised sheerline, giving it a modern, sweeping profile that hints at the boat’s offshore pedigree. But it’s not all for looks—the higher line allows for increased walk-around space, improving onboard movement and safety. At 2390mm across the beam and with a dry trail weight of 2200kg, the 720 offers a solid, stable platform for long-range fishing missions or relaxed overnight stays.

You’ll find the Surtees 720 Game Fisher at the 2025 Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show.

Surtees has a reputation for designing boats that punch above their weight, and the 720 Game Fisher is no exception. It handles like a larger vessel thanks to Surtees’ well-known hull design and integrated 380L water ballast system, which adds extra stability when needed. With 6mm hull thickness and 4mm sides, strength and safety come built in.

Power options range from 140 to 250 horsepower, giving owners the flexibility to tailor performance to their needs. Whether you’re heading wide in search of game fish or exploring the coastline with family, the 720 has the power and fuel capacity (a generous 325L tank) to get you there and back again comfortably.

Inside, the 720 Game Fisher delivers that signature Surtees balance between practical fishing features and cabin comfort. It’s packed to the gunnels with Surtees tech—expect clever storage, smart layouts, and thoughtful ergonomics throughout. There’s ample protection from the elements too, making it a genuine all-weather performer suited to New Zealand’s often changeable coastal conditions.

Designed for offshore action but equally capable for family fun, it’s a boat that blends ruggedness with refinement.
