Motor Yacht Service Centre appointed as Maritimo sales consultant in New Zealand

Motor Yacht Service Centre expands from service partner to official sales consultant

From service to sales

Maritimo’s footprint in New Zealand has taken a significant step forward. Auckland’s Motor Yacht Service Centre (MYSC) has been named the official Authorised Sales Consultant for Maritimo New Zealand, extending a partnership that already spans more than twenty years.

Until now, Kiwi Maritimo owners have known MYSC as the people who keep their boats in prime condition — handling warranty work, servicing, and after-market projects. That trust, built on decades of reliable craftsmanship, is the foundation for this next stage: offering sales and ownership support under one roof.

“Our clients can expect the same friendly, familiar team they’ve always known, along with some new faces helping shape the next chapter,” MYSC said.

A legacy of experience

The appointment recognises MYSC’s long-standing role as the home of Maritimo in New Zealand. Since 2005 the team has specialised in warranty and support for every Maritimo delivered into the country, travelling wherever owners needed them.

Managing Director Dean Ryder’s career in boatbuilding dates back to 1979. His deep experience with Riviera and later Maritimo has shaped the company’s reputation for quality service, preventive maintenance, and tailored owner support.

Today, MYSC remains a family-run business, with five Ryder family members active in daily operations and a client base of around 60 luxury yachts.

Building the MYSC Marine Precinct

The sales appointment arrives just as MYSC is investing heavily in its Hobsonville Marina base. Stage one of the MYSC Marine Precinct has already been delivered: three new berths designed for yachts up to 25 metres, allowing easy arrival and departure for owners.

Stage two will transform the site into a purpose-built facility. Developed in collaboration with the marina owner, the new building is designed to bring all MYSC operations together under one roof.

Key features will include:

  • Room to house two Maritimo M75s side by side
  • A mezzanine-level workshop aligned with yacht boarding platforms
  • Direct walk-on, walk-off access between vessels and service areas
  • Integrated service and boatbuilding bays for efficient workflow

At its centre will be a striking showroom and Maritimo sales office, featuring 12-metre ceilings and a glass frontage overlooking the marina to Auckland City. The showroom will not only highlight Maritimo’s latest models but also showcase premium equipment for luxury motor yachts of all brands.

Completion of the precinct is expected within the next 12 months.

One seamless port of call

MYSC’s service division will continue unchanged, offering its 250 Point Service Plan and 24/7 emergency support. With sales now added, Maritimo New Zealand owners will enjoy something rare: a single point of contact for every stage of their ownership journey.

From the first conversation about a new yacht to preventative maintenance years later, the pathway is clear and seamless. It’s a model that sets MYSC apart — and one that reinforces Maritimo’s commitment to its growing New Zealand base.
